Which is better for surgery: laser or scalpel?
Laser surgery is used for spaying/neutering. We also use lasers to remove lumps, anal glands, skin and oral masses and for more specialized surgeries.
What are the benefits of laser surgery?
Laser surgery is less painful, causes less bleeding and reduces the risk of infection thanks to its bacteria-destroying, high temperature laser beam. Your pet will also be under anaesthesia for a shorter amount of time, which reduces the associated risks. The recovery period is also shorter for laser surgery than traditional scalpel surgery.
