These are important diagnostic tools that help us keep a close eye on your pet’s health. In most cases, your pet will not need to be sedated for these procedures, though this will depend on their specific situation.

Why might my veterinarian use both ultrasounds and X-rays?

Ultrasounds and X-rays are sometimes used together to get a more accurate understanding of the problem. X-rays quickly provide a clear image of bones and organs, while ultrasounds produce a moving image that can be used to analyze organ health, for example.

Do you also perform dental X-rays?

We take dental X-rays before tartar removal and to determine whether or not any teeth need to be extracted.
