Dr. Madjid Boussouira
Graduated in 2001 from St-Hyacinth’s Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and from the National Veterinary School of Alger in 1985, he also started a certificate in Physiotherapy at the University of Tenessee. Passionate veterinarian with 30 years of practice, his interests vary from medicine, surgery, orthopaedic surgery and physiotherapy. Since the age of 8 he knew he will become a veterinarian. He was always surrounded with different types of animals: dogs, cats, birds, horses amongst others. Given this background, he was influenced into treating several types of animals in his practice. At home he has a cat named Caramel and a female boxer named Maya. He still feels very passionate about his work.
Dr. Michèle A. St-Pierre
Graduated from St-Hyacinth’s Faculty of Veterinary medicine in 1988, she obtained her certificate in veterinary chiropractic and acupuncture. She is also the co-Founder of the UQROP, the rehabilitation center for birds of prey at the University of Montreal’s Faculty of Veterinary medicine in St-Hyacinth in 1987. She joined the team at Chambly’s Veterinary Hospital and Animo-Vet Hospital in St-Hubert in 2012. She is passionate about veterinary medicine and about practicing alternative medicine like veterinary acupuncture and chiropractic. Mother of four, she has a dog and a horse. She enjoys running and spending time with her family during her free time.
Dr. Josée Guilmette
Dr. Guilmette graduated from St-Hyacinth's Faculty of Veterinary medicine in 2009. She then did an internship in Zoological medicine at the Faculty, it helped her deepen her knowledge about a diverse number of species (Ferrets, rabits, rodents, birds, reptiles...). Dr. Guilmette then worked at the Emergency of the DMV Veterinary Center. Since October 2014, Dr. Guilmette joined the Animo-Vet Hospital's team. For leisure, she enjoys oil painting, reading and hikes in nature. Do not hesitate to come see her, wether it is for your dog, your cat, bird, reptile or others...
Graduated from Cégep de Saint-Hyacinthe in 2015, she started working with us in 2013. She is passionate about animal behavior and surgery. She is our technician who deals with kindergarten classes for puppies as well as consultations for behavioral changes. She owns at home a red cat named Fluffy. In her spare time, she enjoys cinema, reading, camping and traveling
Graduated from Cégep de Saint-Hyacinthe in 2018, she started working at us in 2016. She has a keen interest in exotic animals, more specifically for avians and reptiles. She owns a miniature Schnauzer named Bob and a wavy parakeet named Wally. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, and attending conferences to learn more about exotic animals
Graduated from the Cégep de Saint-Félicien in May 2018, she completed an internship at the veterinary hospital Chambly. She is interested in exotic animals and to learn more about them. She decided to join our team following this internship. She has a penchant for cat behavior and for small mammals (rats, mice, hamsters, ferrets ...). She is the proud owner of two black cats: Jonah and Bagheera. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with friends or family, reading, listening to series and cinema.
Graduated from Cégep de Saint-Félicien in 2018, she joined our team following her internship with us. Sandra is the happy owner of a cat named Shnooze, which she adopted following an abandonment. She takes good care of it because it is diabetic and requires a lot of love. Otherwise, being very athletic in nature, Sandra fills her free time with activities such as swimming, rollerblading, hiking, biking and volleyball. She is a very committed employee who will always be ready to welcome our customers with a smile.
Graduate of Laflèche Colleague at Trois-Rivière in 2013, after having completed the BAC in Physical Health at UQTR. She worked for 4 years in the laboratory and then joined our team in November 2017. She is the happy mother of two young girls, two cats and two dogs: Emily, Jasmine, Salem, Mr. Affection, Queeny and Yannie. She loves horses, reading, the outdoors and traveling.
After high school, Julie completed, with honorable mention, her animal care attendant course. She began her years of experience as an animal care attendant at the Center Vétérinaire Rive-Sud. She worked 4 years in a pet shop, beginner attendant and finished owning her own pet store. She started working with us in 2012 as a technical assistant and now she is working as a manager. She owns 2 cats, named Wasowski and Frisette, as well as a staffordshire terrier named Polo. In her spare time, she enjoys going to the movies, going out with friends and family and perfecting her knowledge in the animal field.
After completing a DEC in Social Sciences, her goal was to pursue her university education studies to be a primary school teacher. She finally turned to one of her passions: cooking. Having worked in the restaurant business for 27 years, she needed to thrive in another area. Having a very developed human side, a great empathy and an unconditional love towards the animals, she wishes to have a job where she will be happy to go there every day. It is after a 3 week internship at our clinic that she finds her vocation. She has a great desire to learn more and loves to travel to discover new cultures
